Art of Bronze was honored to create this spectacular bronze eagle sculpture for the Southern Lyon County All Veterans Memorial in Olpe, Kansas. Proudly mounted atop a beautifully constructed stone monument, the eagle stands as a powerful symbol of freedom, sacrifice, and national pride.
The memorial recognizes and honors the five branches of the United States Armed Forces — the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard — celebrating the courage and commitment of the soldiers, sailors, airmen, marines, and guardians who defend our nation. The eagle’s commanding presence above the monument serves as a lasting tribute to their service and sacrifice.
Each year, the community of Olpe gathers at the memorial for Veterans Day ceremonies that include the playing of the National Anthem and Taps by local high school bands, making this monument a meaningful focal point of remembrance and unity. Tremendous care, engineering, and craftsmanship went into designing the bronze base and permanently attaching the sculpture to the stone cap of the monument, ensuring long-term structural integrity and durability.
