Brown hares are well known for their energetic behavior, particularly during the month of March when they are often seen “boxing” with one another in dramatic bursts of speed and agility. This animated behavior is widely believed to have inspired the famous phrase, “Mad as a March hare.” These sculptures beautifully interpret that lively interaction in timeless bronze.
Expertly cast using the traditional lost wax process, each hare features carefully sculpted anatomy and rich surface detail, enhanced by a warm hand-applied patina.
