Art of Bronze was honored to create the spectacular striking eagle bronze mascot “Thunder & Lightning” for the Carson Newman University campus in Jefferson City, Tennessee. Talon is the name of the mascot for the athletic teams. Carson Newman is a private Baptist university affiliated with the Tennessee Baptist Convention. Founded in 1851, the university enrolls about 2,500 students. Studies are offered in approximately 90 different academic programs.
This magnificent eagle is in the center of campus at the Columns. The university built a custom 5 ft. tall stone pedestal to display the eagle. Stainless steel piping was welded into the branch cavity and underside of base to ensure everlasting safety to all students and visitors.
