Art of Bronze is proud to offer this lovely four seasons set of 4 cherub bronze statues. Each cherub statuary represents a traditional, temperate season… spring, summer, fall & winter. The four sculptures are similar in size, color and sculptural style. Each putto stands on an intricately designed base that structurally supports them.
Each putto is 18″ W. X 16″ D. X 49.5″ H.
Spring, is distinguished by the presence of flower blossoms. The putto stands with his arms at his front holding a cluster of buds with both hands. He wears a wreath of blossoms on his head.
Summer, is identified with wheat. The putto is looking forward straight ahead, holding a sheaf of wheat in his land hand. He wears a wreath of leaves on his head.
Autumn, shows the fruits of the season. The putto has his head turned sightly to the right as he is looking downward. His right arm swings across his belly so both hands hold a large cluster of grapes. He wears a wreath of grapevine in his curls.
Winter, bears no produce. The putto looks to his right. His right upper arm clutches a cloth draped across his body and held on the other side by his left hand. Unlike the other sculptures, his curly locks are unadorned.
Our bronze statues are cast in the ‘lost wax’ process and hand finished in custom patina colorings. We have decades of experience working with developers, cities, libraries, parks and school mascots. Stainless steel mounting brackets can be welded so your sculpture can be permanently secured.
